What is the legal relationship between Orion and the trader?
What you sign, who you sign with, and what documents you need depending on your registration type.
The Orion Trader Account Agreement
Once you complete all evaluation phases and pass identity verification, an Orion Trader Account Agreement is made available in your Client Section for review and electronic signing. This is a legally binding document that defines the rights and obligations of both parties throughout the trading relationship.
You can enter the Agreement as a Natural Person, an Entrepreneur (self-employed individual with a business registration), or a Company. The registration type is determined by the option you select at your first purchase and can only be changed once, after completing your evaluation and before starting your next trading cycle.
Signing as a Natural Person
You will need to complete KYC (Know Your Customer) verification. Required documents:
- Government-issued ID: passport or national ID card showing your nationality. Driving licences and residence permits are not accepted.
- Proof of address: bank statement, utility bill, lease agreement, or a letter from a recognised public authority. Must show your full name, full residential address, and issue date, and must not be older than 6 months.
Signing as an Entrepreneur
You will need to complete KYB (Know Your Business) verification. This is a two-step process:
Step 1: Identity verification: same ID and proof of address requirements as a Natural Person.
Step 2: Business information:
- Registration number, VAT number (if applicable), registered address, country of registration
- Representative details: name, date of birth, citizenship
- Ownership structure: information on any shareholder with more than 25% of shares (UBO)
- Registration confirmation document: certificate of incorporation or recent extract from a state registry. Must not be older than 12 months.
- Proof of business address: bank statement, utility bill, or equivalent corporate document
Signing as a Company
You will need to complete KYB verification. Required documents:
- Proof of legal existence: certificate of incorporation, excerpt from a state registry, certificate of incumbency, memorandum or articles of association, or equivalent. Must not be older than 12 months.
- Ownership structure: document identifying all Ultimate Beneficial Owners (persons with more than 25% shares). Bank statements are not accepted for this purpose.
- Company proof of address: bank statement, utility bill, lease agreement, or equivalent corporate document
- ID of the company representative: passport or national ID card showing nationality
- Authorisation to act on behalf of the company, unless you are a director or officer recorded in the relevant state registry
If the company has multiple corporate layers (intermediary holding companies), documents confirming legal existence must be provided for each entity in the structure.
